Lithuanian Bar Association
The Lithuanian Bar Association is a public legal entity - organisation that unites the advocates of Lithuania.
The Lithuanian Bar Association coordinates the activity of advocates and represents their interests in public institutions and international and foreign organisations. It prepares drafts of legislation concerning the activities of advocates and submits them to the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Lithuania. The Bar Association monitors the activities of advocates and organises and implements upgrading of advocates’ qualifications. It coordinates the Legal Aid that is provided by advocates in accordance with the state-guaranteed Legal Aid scheme and carries out other functions specified in the Republic of Lithuania Law on the Bar and the statues of the Lithuanian Bar Association.
